CHMCC HAS YOUR BEST RECIPE
Coldstream Homestead Montebello Community Corporation
(CHMCC) was awarded a grant by Kresge Arts in Baltimore,
in partnership with the Baltimore Community Foundation,
to make an arts cookbook. On the first Saturday of each
month from January to July, 2010, the CHMCC Center
hosted an Arts Brunch.
Residents provided recipes, then were invited to prepare
the dishes for the brunch. They also invited three others
from their blocks to join in the brunch experience. Each
brunch highlighted five residents' recipes.
At the brunch local artists hosted an arts workshop where
all participants created art. The recipes have been
collected and published in our very own Community Arts
Cookbook and is available for purchase for only a $10
donation. The artwork is currently on display at the
community center.
